What personal data we collect and why

Email Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address only for the purpose of sending the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Forum

If you register at our forum, we collect the data shown in the registration form (user name and email) and also your IP address. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service for the purpose of obtaining a profile picture. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

If you upload images to the forum, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the forum can download and extract location data from images on the website.

Our web-based Planetarium uses cookies to store options and hotkey changes that you make.
